I mentioned that my life isn't very interesting, but I didn't really say much about it, did I? The truth is, I'm not doing much. I spend a lot of time at home, reading and browsing the internet. I haven't really kept in contact with any of my old friends from high school, and I don't have much of a connection to the Greensboro furry community. That said, being online a lot has its fun points. Like the sparkle fight with Ash on IRC. (Hello Ash, I know you're reading this.) It seems monotonous, and it probably is, but it suits me for now. Dorms open August 20th, so I've got just less than a month here before I return to Charlotte. I'm enjoying my time at home, but I'm also looking forward to going back to the dorms.

Those of you who are reading this have my respect. Given how rarely I update, I don't even know why you bother reading, but thank you very much. If you want slightly more up to the minute (or day, or week, you know how it goes) information about my life, my twitter is linked on the sidebar. With that, let us begin. Random stream of boring current events, I choose you!
( This couldn't possibly get long, could it? )
Anyway, I think that'll about do it for now. Small updates on my life can be found on twitter, but I'll try to make posts to my journal from time to time. Perhaps I'll even use it for a bit of creative writing. But don't count on that.

I don't use this much anymore, do I? I blame Twitter.
I'll be spending way too much of my day today with family, but hey, it's Christmas. I hope you're all having a good day today, and a great holiday season.

All that stuff I said last night? Disregard that. I am paranoid.
It was most likely nothing more serious than a tension headache.

I woke up this morning with a headache, but it was gone by 11 thanks to a painkiller. Now it feels like it's coming back. If I still have it in the morning, a friend has advised me to see a doctor. I hope that doesn't happen, as I'm rather scared of what that kind of headache could mean. Especially since I never got a meningitis vaccine. I'll update tomorrow, and if I don't, I probably forgot to do so.

Not that I'm trying to toot my own damn horn (take that however you will, those among my audience who are of a perverted persuasion), but humor like this must be shared.
Quote from my friend: "There was a guy on Pounced who was a clam."
My reply:
"Single, male clam seeking single, male otter to crack me open and eat me up."
(Is it just me, or does the cheerful ferret mood icon just look sorta....meh?)

With the elections this year, the political memes are making their way around the internet again. So I took one. The results are under the cut, mostly because it's a bit large.

First off, I'd like to thank the troll for spamming wtf_inc and raping my friends page. Thank you very much for making the internet a more interesting place.
Second, I'd like to thank gravity and concrete for reminding me why it's stupid to jump down five steps at once, even if one is in a hurry to buy a blue book for your exam because you forgot yours. I would also like to thank the makers of neosporin and large adhesive bandages.
Third, uhh...well, who else can I thank? My mate for being awesome and my friends for being cool, even though very few of you even read this.
And now that I'm done thanking, I've had a good day, despite fate's attempts to the contrary.
Edited for funky cool userpic!

I guess I should use this thing more often, eh? I got a little Firefox extension for making blog posts, and there's nothing like a new gadget to inspire writing, right?
Anyway, I suppose I should write a bit about where I am now, just in case somebody is reading this. I think my last post was about my senior project. That got taken care of. Wasn't the best grade, but I passed and graduated. Summer break passed all too quickly, and I finally met Teej. (Hi Teej!) Which brings us roughly up to present day.
At this moment, I'm sitting in my dorm room, which has a great view of the campus. Which campus? Oh yeah, UNC Charlotte. Go Niners. After two weeks of classes, I don't think I'm quite used to everything, but I'm getting there.
And yes, classes. I like my schedule, it gives me enough time to have a small break between each class, to relax....or do the english assignment twenty minutes before it's due. I love sociology and intro to computer science. I like calculus, and the professor. He's greek, and I love his accent. History I'm not crazy about, but it is interesting. And English, well...I have to do it. Keep in mind, I love the English language, and I also love reading. But structured English composition is something I don't do well. I can write, I'm good at writing, and I enjoy it on my own terms. But I hate doing it when I'm told to pick my own subject but write in some exact fashion. But I have to take the good with the bad, and overall my classes are pretty good.

I think I'll try to make a better post later. For now, I can say that I haven't slept yet tonight If I don't pass this senior project, I'm going to be really pissed. My project sucks, mind you, but staying up this late to work on it is killing me.
Holy cow I don't use this thing very much. I should try to fix that. Sometime.
Okay, I was going to wait until the Pawpet show finished before posting this, but my computer's connection it too bad for it to be watchable. And so, I give to you all my Brawl friend code.

Hmm, about a year ago, I made a post at about 1 AM and that I shouldn't be awake so late.
...yeah...clearly I didn't learn from experience.

Shows how good my memory is. Anyway, this post is about...hmm, let's see...band class!
Yes, band class. Once a week (most weeks, anyway), we have challenges, so lower chair students can challenge higher chair students for their positions. Now, I'm currently first chair trumpet, and nobody challenged me except for the second chair, who was first before I took the position back from her. We also have a first chair player for the entire class. Our director calls that position 'Concert Master'. After a series of challenges which involved, I think, every first chair in the class, I gained that title, however dorky it may be. And I only had to face challenges from half the other first chairs to get it. (Note, it might not really have been half, but it was pretty close) So, uh...yay me. Whee!

Tonight I have discovered that lemonade mixed with orange juice (a discovery prompted by equal parts thirst and curiosity) tastes really good. And two flavors of doritos in one bag is yummy, although this isn't a new discovery. Firefox doesn't know what doritos are, but that's excusable. School is, if not great quite yet, looking up. Just have to do some salvage work and I should be doing just fine. All in all, not too bad.

Well, sometimes it's good, but I'm hoping that this will be a good one. Upgraded to plus and slapped on a new journal theme. Yay. Also, first post in a while. Whoops, didn't mean to neglect my journal for so long.
Edit: Holy cow, I hadn't realized until just now that I haven't posted since September. My humble apologies, Livejournal. I also apologize that I can't promise it won't happen again, I can be quite lazy at times.

The first band I was really a fan of was Linkin Park.
